Sinti swing, French chanson, Balkan beats, waltz, folk, rock, punk or jazz - the six musicians of Les Yeux d'la Tête welcome anything that can make an audience dance.
In 2006, the band got together after a meeting of the two guitarists in Paris, after which it first went through the cafes and bars of the capital. A year and a half later they decided to go into the studio. In 2008, their first album "Danser Sur Les Toits" was released. Awards followed in France and then all over Europe, the concerts got bigger and so did the band. Meanwhile, 6 albums have been released and the band has been playing concerts around the world for over 15 years.
Their songs tell stories of love, happiness or life itself. Thus the listeners are led into the alleys of Paris, the underground world of the French metro stations or to an Eastern European wedding. With a lot of feeling, the themes of everyday life are transformed into sounds and words, sometimes sky-high, sometimes saddened to death. Their music tastes of freedom, of red wine and of dancing in the demimonde - just not a chanson, but much more from the gut and dark places where life makes its own rules and becomes unpredictable.
Whether we look slightly melancholic at the Seine in Paris or the Spree in Berlin, or find ourselves unexpectedly in the arms of a strange dancer - that is up to the direction of Les Yeux d'la Tête, who specialize in these special moments of the night.
